Rob Crapsey has always been fascinated with construction. “When I was 8, I watched my father’s house being built and I was hooked,” says Rob. He went to work for the man who built that house when he was 14! Wishing to increase his understanding of the construction process and to improve his knowledge of business management he went to Eastern Kentucky University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management in 1981. “The combination of management and financial analysis with the structured construction technology emphasis really brought all aspects of construction together for me,” says Rob. Building houses has always been his passion. Rob is currently serving on the board of the Cincinnati Preservation Association. Rob enjoys boating, scuba diving, travelling, and hanging out with his wife, Stacey, and son, Robert.
As early as high school and throughout his college career, Chris Gilles had a passion and a talent for construction. About his early professional career Chris says, “I began on the ground floor –literally – by learning and working on construction sites during my summers and holiday breaks. One of my first projects was remodeling our family’s basement!” After graduating in 1986 from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. degree in Finance, Rob Crapsey and Chris formed a partnership that would become Crapsey & Gilles Contractors, Inc. With Chris’ background in finance, construction and his attention to detail, the management of large construction projects is in very capable hands. Chris and his wife, Amy, have two adult sons, Ben and Will. Chris enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering his time on the Moeller High School Board of Trustees, and relaxing by the ocean.
